Eligibility to Purchase

In order to make purchases on the Site you will be required to provide your personal details. In particular, you must provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. You will also be required to provide payment details that are both valid and correct and you must confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing information provided.

The Site is available only to individuals and others who meet the ‘Lalage Beaumont’ terms of eligibility, who have been issued a valid credit/debit card by a bank acceptable to ‘Lalage Beaumont’, whose applications are acceptable to ‘Lalage Beaumont’ and who have authorised ‘Lalage Beaumont’ to process a charge or charges on their credit/debit card for the amount of the total purchase price for the merchandise which they are purchasing. By making an offer to purchase merchandise you expressly authorise us to perform credit checks and where ‘Lalage Beaumont’ feels necessary, to transmit or to obtain information (including any updated information) about you to or from third parties, including but not limited to your credit/debit card number or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, your address, to validate your credit/debit card, to obtain an initial credit/debit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions. Furthermore, you agree that we may use Personal Information provided by you in order to conduct appropriate anti fraud checks. Personal Information that you provide may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency, who may keep a record of that information. (Your information will not however be passed to any third party for marketing purposes. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how we use your data.)

Orders

All orders are subject to availability; items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may therefore be purchased by other customers until we have confirmed your order and processed the payment. ‘Lalage Beaumont’ generally offers products for sale that are in stock and available for despatch. Occasionally however, we may be waiting for delivery from our manufacturers or you may wish to place an order for an item to be made and consequently you may be given the possibility of making an advance payment for certain items. If you would like to be notified on the arrival of selected products that are currently out of stock, please fill in the ‘contact us’ email form.

Pricing Policy

Prices shown on the Site are in GBP and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate (except for the products shown on our Tax Free page). For items that are offered at a discounted price the GBP price displayed on the Site at the time your order is accepted will be honoured. However if the discounted price is offered for a limited period, then orders placed after the end of that discounted period may be subject to change. Product prices are generally set for the season but may vary during the season due to factors outside our control. Should your purchases be liable for import duties or local taxes payable to your country of residence, these will be your responsibility and will not be included in the Purchase Price. If you are purchasing products from outside the EU and the goods are to be delivered to a country outside the EU, you may visit the Tax Free page where you will see the prices without UK VAT (tax).  Items not featured on the Tax Free page will have the VAT included and we are not able to show the VAT deducted at checkout. If you wish to purchase items not featured on the Tax Free page and you are eligible to purchase without VAT, please contact us by telephone or email to arrange this.  If we receive orders of items with the tax deducted, that are to be delivered to an address inside the EU, we will cancel and refund the order and ask you to purchase again with the price inclusive of VAT. For purchases made outside the UK, all prices will be charged at the checkout in GBP (even if the price has been shown in your local currency on the product page).  If your credit/debit card is not denominated in GBP, the final price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your card issuer processes the transaction and this may differ slightly from your currency price shown on the product page. Any issues regarding the exchange rate used by your card issuer are outside the control of ‘Lalage Beaumont’.

Acceptance of Your Order

Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is not an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it. Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and ‘Lalage Beaumont’ will be when we email you to confirm the goods have been despatched. The sale contract is therefore concluded in London, England and the language of the contract is English. We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorisation for payment, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn. We may also refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion.

Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro cards, and any other methods which may be clearly advertised on the Site from time to time. You can also choose to pay with PayPal. When selecting this option at checkout, you will be directed to the PayPal site to 'Log In' and review the amount shown before clicking 'Pay Now'. Once this transaction is complete, you will then return to lalagebeaumont.com. In making a payment, you are confirming that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to ‘Lalage Beaumont’, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We take great care to make our Site secure. All credit/debit card transactions on this site are processed using a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. No credit card details are held by ‘Lalage Beaumont’. Furthermore, we take reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.

Insurance

‘Lalage Beaumont’ insures purchases during the time they are in transit until delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient, who is not you, for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or by someone else at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by ‘Lalage Beaumont’, and transfer of responsibility in the same way.

Delivery

Please note that we generally aim to despatch all orders within 24 hours, or 48 hours during sale periods. Delivery to addresses in the UK is generally the day after the date of despatch but this is a guide only. Please see Shipping Information for further information and details of delivery times outside the UK. Should you live outside the UK and would like next day courier delivery, we will endeavour to arrange this and will inform you by email of the additional cost. However please note that ‘Lalage Beaumont’ is not responsible for any delays by the courier company or customs clearance processes.

Faulty goods

Goods are faulty if they are received damaged or where a manufacturing fault occurs within six months of purchase. If your package arrives damaged, please photograph the package and notify ‘Lalage Beaumont’ immediately. Items that are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. (Please note that some of our fabrics are quite delicate and although they should provide good wear for many seasons, they are not suitable for cycling or other activities that may cause undue strain.) For items that do show genuine quality issues within six months of purchase, wherever possible we will repair or replace but if the item cannot be repaired or replaced we will issue a credit note or a refund.

Colours

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on our website or in our brochure. However, as computer monitors vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be completely accurate.
